Roatan’s geographical location gives the Island a tropical climate, with moderate humidityand temperature of 80o F/27oC year-round, resulting in beautiful sunny days. The dry season goes from April to mid-July, and rainy seasons is from October to December, with a peak of rain in January and early February.

Banking and Currency?

Yes,as a foreigner you can set up a bank account in Roatan, there are several banks, however, each bank does have their own policies. The Honduran currency is “Lempiras”(One USD is equivalent to about 24 lempiras).USA dollars are accepted at most business as long as they are in good conditions. EUROS are only accepted on a limited basis in destinations visited by European travelers. Credit Cards are widely accepted within Honduras.
